Some of the Christian friends of Anıl Onat's children living abroad, my algebra-geometry teacher at Kuleli Military High School, converted to Islam. They asked my teacher Anıl for an article as preliminary information. My esteemed teacher, whose views and thoughts on every subject I attach great importance to and whom I regard as a wise man, has written the text below.
I hope that my teacher Anıl will continue to write and share his enlightening and guiding valuable ideas with us, and I recommend that you carefully read the views I have presented below:
The creator sent
guiding messages for the people he created to live a happy life.
These messages were communicated to society by the messengers he chose.
The creator's messages that include absolute truth always remain the same. We
call this guide for living a right life, religion. Religion is a collection of
truths set by God that do not change.
The messengers like Moses, Jesus and Muhammed, whose exact number is uncertain
but known due to their proximity to our current time, all tried to communicate
the same message. In the previous ages, people protested the messages that were
sent to them and even managed to change their content to match their interests.
First and foremost it should be known that today, there is not a religion that
belongs to the creator and remains its purity. Today, the most well known three
religions, not only include messages that are opposites of each other but also
within each of these religions, they formed competing sub groups that have
opposite beliefs and ways of life. Within each group, a religion teacher is
appointed head and teached their own religion. From this it can be observed
that we cannot not learn God's religion or messages from the religion teachers
(Imam, Priest, Rabbi, etc.).
The first rule for those that want to enter God's religion; not copying anyone
else and doing your own research. For example, not believing in God's existence
because everyone else does but you realizing you have to believe in his
existence with everything that you observe. Looking at the things he has
created and accepting the things he can create. Believing in the afterlife. It
should be understood that God sees everything, knows everything, has the power
for everything, created everything, is imperfect and SINGLE, that his existence
is not irrational but that is beyond the mind's understanding. God gave humans
the mind and the ability to use the mind which is enough to understand the
messages he sent. Because he is fair, he does not hold accountable those he
does not give intelligence to. Because the mind works dependent on knowledge,
the religion that belongs to God commands the mind and knowledge. So the
religion that belongs to God, commands using the mind and knowledge and rejects
ignorance.
Religious messages appear in the three books of the three known religions
(Torah, Bible, Quran). In these books, there are sayings that today might be
understood as contradictory, wrong, lie or irrational. You might even see
slander against the messengers. Did the big and forgiving God want people to
not understand or misunderstand his messages? Or did he not choose trustworthy
messengers? People did not only commit evil duties on religious books. They
made up books that were parallel to these religious books or even surpassed
them. During this parallel made up religion structuring, fake roles took duty.
Those that believe in God, accept that he has unlimited power, knowledge and
forgiveness. Those that are curious about his religion have one way: try to
reach God's messages. Which you can do by finding the unchanged messages in his
books. You can judge absolutely with these measures:
1- It cannot be against the mind or knowledge.
2- It does not go against common human values.
So the messages cannot be about torture, unfairness, immoral acts, a person not
having mercy towards society or their surroundings, being addicted to gaining
materialistic things without need, sexism, racism, etc.
These are a few religious messages that we can find through research and not
ones that we set.
If you believe in the greatness of God beyond our comprehension and the after
life, if you follow life according to his messages, if you follow the path he
wants (religion), you are doing the absolute right thing and following the
absolute right religion.
His religion does not have an establishment known as religious clans, religious
dresses, celebrations and rituals. He does not interfere with traditions that
are not against his messages. To enter his religion and to leave it is a
person's free will.
